Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:

  • Restores and promotes patient’s health by completing the nursing process.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for patients/consumers and customers in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient, calm and a team player. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.

Responsibilities

  • Record a patient’s medical history accurately
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
  • Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
  • Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Skills

  • Proven experience as LPN or similar role
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with hospital and clinical health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

ENTRY LEVEL JOB DESCRIPTION – Community Health Worker

Is a non-exempt employee.  Hours may vary to include evenings and weekends.

Definition of Community Health Worker

 A community health worker is a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the worker to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.

A community health worker also builds individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a knowledge of the COVID 19 Virus Disease
  2. Develop a Knowledge of the treatment protocols for the COVID 19.
  3. Develop an ongoing Knowledge of the vaccines available (and in the pipeline) for the treatment of the COVID 19 Virus. 
  4. Maintain a working knowledge of COVID-19, staying abreast of current findings.
  5. Develop community relationships to increase COVID-19 Testing opportunities in communities of color.
  6. Meet with community leaders, particularly faith based and those providing support and services to communities of color.
  7. Attend community events geared toward improving COVID-19 health outcomes.
  8. Work independently and as part of a team to produce marketing materials.
  9. Distribute information and materials at testing events and public events attended by communities of color.
  10. Participate in all clinical and non-clinical events including testing and vaccination as needed.  

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

High School Diploma or equivalent. 

Valid Driver’s License

Knowledge of community structure and resources.

Excellent Communication Skills

Ability to work within the community and to use available resources. 

Ability to maintain records, make oral and written reports. 

Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
